Scope and Content

Fabric-covered compact with an interior mirror, part of a collection documenting the experiences of Alice Fischl Gerstmann, Gerd Gerstmann, and their families in Czechoslovakia, Germany, and Palestine before, during, and after the Holocaust. Alice Fischl, who fled from Czechoslovakia, and Gerd Gerstmann, who fled from Germany, both immigrated to Palestine where they met and married.

Physical Characteristics and Technical Requirements

Rectangular, compact covered with dark red, floral fabric with a discolored mirror inside. A colorful, floral-patterned piece of paper is adhered opposite the mirror on the interior. The exterior is heavily worn from use.
