Acquisition

Source of acquisition is the Archiwum Państwowe w Łodzi, Poland, Sygn. 240. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives received the filmed collection via the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum International Archival Programs Division in January 2020. This is a cooperative project based on the agreement between USHMM and Yad Vashem, Israel.

Scope and Content

Lists of people, including Jews, in a shelter for the elderly and cripples in Łódź, as well as lists of arrested beggars (including many Jews).

System of Arrangement

Arranged in two groups: 1. List of old people and cripples 1939; 2. List of Beggars and Vagabonds, 1938-1939.
