Acquisition
Source of acquisition is the Instytut Pamięci Narodowej-Komisja Ścigania Zbrodni przeciwko Narodowi Polskiemu. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives received the filmed collection via the United States Holocaust Museum International Archives Project in Jan. 2020. This is a cooperative project based on the agreement between USHMM and Yad Vashem, Israel.
Scope and Content
Contains lists of camps, lists of KL Gross-Rosen prisoners, file of the Gross-Rosen camp, interrogations of former prisoners of Gross-Rosen and sub-camps in Miłoszyce and Laskowice, inspection report of the camp, investigation of the mass grave in Rogoźnica, exhumations and examination of corpses, lists of war graves, and correspondence regarding prisoners of war.
System of Arrangement
Arranged in four groups: 1. List of camps, 2. Lists and files of prisoners of the Gross-Rosen concentration camp; 3. Gross-Rosen concentration camp: reports of hearing of witnesses and correspondence; 4. Correspondence and reports of of hearing of witnesses concerning prisoners of war and Nazi crimes.
