Acquisition

Source of acquisition is the Instytut Pamięci Narodowej-Komisja Ścigania Zbrodni przeciwko Narodowi Polskiemu. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives received the filmed collection via the United States Holocaust Museum International Archives Project in Jan. 2020. This is a cooperative project based on the agreement between USHMM and Yad Vashem, Israel.

Scope and Content

Contains selected records of the Ministry of Justice of the Polish government-in-exile in London: interrogations of witnesses regarding German crimes during the war in Stanisławów, District of Lviv (liquidation of the ghetto), list of Gestapo members in Stanisławów (15 names), testimony of Stanisław Kocyan about SS-man in KL Auschwitz Concentration Camp. „Central registry of War Criminals and Security Suspects “prepared in 1945 and 1946.

System of Arrangement

Arranged in two subject groups: 1. Witness statements; 2. Central Registry of War Ccriminals. Registry files are arranged alphabetically.
