Acquisition
Source of acquisition is the Instytut Pamięci Narodowej-Komisja Ścigania Zbrodni przeciwko Narodowi Polskiemu. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives received the filmed collection via the United States Holocaust Museum International Archives Project in Jan. 2020. This is a cooperative project based on the agreement between USHMM and Yad Vashem, Israel.
Scope and Content
Correspondence relating the employment of Poles by Germans, mattaers of NSDAP party, statistics on various nationalities, resistance movement, church matters, displacement of Poles and Jews, extermination of civilians, racial policy, and gremanization of Polish orphans in Kalisz and Kirchdorf. Includes a register book with names of Poles, Jews and Russians murdered by gendarmerie and Gestapo, 1939-1945 (Wieluń, Wieruszowa, Ostrzeszowa, Pajęczno), and a name list of prisoners from the labor camp in Wąsowo, Poland.

Arranged in eight groups: 1. Correspondence regarding employment of Poles by Germans; 2. Documents on NSDAP matters; 3. Statistics of the ethnic and quantitative structure of the population in the District of the Warta Region; 4. Reports of the resistance movements (Armia Krajowa and Miecz i Pług); 5. Documents on liquidation of Polish Catholic Churches and other religious matters; 6. Cases of displacement and extermination of civilians, Poles and Jews; 7. Lists of prisoners of the forced labor camp Wąsowo (Hardt); 8. Germanization of Polish orphans.
