The papers were donated to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in 2019 by Edward Szczesny, the son of Stella and Chester Szczesny.
Scope and Content
Contains photographs documentating the memorialization of Polish Roman Catholics Stanisława and Czesław Szczesny, both survivors of multiple concentration camps and attempts to drown victims (some who survived) on the Thielbeck and Deutschland ships. The collection also includes a postwar identity card for Czesław.
