Acquisition

Forms part of the Claims Conference International Holocaust Documentation Archive at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. This archive consists of documentation whose reproduction and/or acquisition was made possible with funding from the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany.

Source of acquisition is the Zakład Historii Ruchu Ludowego w Warszawie. Fundacja Rozwoju, Poland. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives received the filmed collection via the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum International Archival Programs Division in September 2018. This is a cooperative duplication project based on the agreement between USHMM, Yad Vashem, Israel, and Fundacja Rozwoju, Poland.

Scope and Content

A collection of 359 titles of the Polish underground press from all areas of the occupied Poland. The collection includes both titles issued by parties associated with peasant parties about the organization of the Peasant Battalions, as well as titles published by the Home Army (Armia Krajowa) and the National Armed Forces (Narodowe Siły Zbrojne).
