Acquisition
Source of acquisition is the Archiwum Państwowe w Łodzi, Poland, Sygn. 804. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives received the filmed collection via the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum International Archival Programs Division in June 2018. This is a cooperative project based on the agreement between USHMM and Yad Vashem, Israel.
Scope and Content
Statistical data, correspondence, minutes, registration of war damages, records of the population, records related to the property of Jewish communities, and so-called productivisation of the Jewish population after the war, lists and other materials concerning associations and unions, lists of the mass graves of war victims, and loss or granting of Polish citizenship, documents regarding civil status and the help for the victims of prisons and Nazi camps, as well as other materials.

Arranged in seven series: 1. Documents regarding population and the registration and war losses, 1945-1948; 2. Religious matters; 3 Registration of foreigners; 4. Registration and liquidation of associations; 5. Documents regarding national minorities and the loss of citizenship; 6. Copies of the civil registry, 1946-1947; 7. Records of circulars concerning care for mothers with children and victims of war, 1946.
