Acquisition

Forms part of the Claims Conference International Holocaust Documentation Archive at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. This archive consists of documentation whose reproduction and/or acquisition was made possible with funding from the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany.

Source of acquisition is the Archiwum Państwowe w Warszawie Oddział w Grodzisku Mazowieckim, Poland, Sygn. 98. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives received the filmed collection via the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum International Archival Programs Division in 2015.

Scope and Content

Contains various records related to the Jewish Committee of Sochaczew, other Polish organizations and societies, Jewish graveyards, lists of war graves, Poles and Jews inhabiting the county of Sochaczew, and additionally included are licenses for running private enterprises.

Arranged in three series: 1. Social and Political Department [Referat Spoleczno-Polityczny]; Administration and Legal Department [Referat Administracyjno-Prawny]; Industry and Trade Department [Referat Przemyslu i Handlu].
