Original owner of the album was U.S. military serviceman J.S. ("Jim") Willis. Captions may have been created by his wife, Sally A. Willis. The album was dropped off at the USS LST Ship Memorial with no contact information, Their staff member, Jenifer Walsh, offered it to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.
