Biographical History

Andrey Freund was born on July 24, 1908. He married on June 6, 1941, and lived in Haifa. Sometime prior to March 1943, he enlisted in the British military, Jewish Brigade. He was awarded the Italy Star for his service and was discharged on April 4, 1946. He also served in the British forces in Palestine and was discharged from that in June 1948.

Scope and Content

Consists of a soldier's passbook and two documents certifying employment and good conduct, which were issued to Mr. Andrey Freund, a member of the British Forces, Jewish Brigade.
