Biographical History

Mania Baghdadi was born in 1946 in Pieszyce, Poland, to Josef and Bela Kleinburd. Her Father served with the Polish and Soviet armies during World War II, and her mother survived the Holocaust in Opatow, Skarzysko Kamienna, Czestochowa, Liepaja, Leipzig, and Buchenwald. They lived in the displaced persons camps at Regensburg, Lager Lechfeld, Giebelstadt, and Vilseck after the war while preparing for immigration.

Mania Baghdadi donated this collection to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in 2015.

Scope and Content
