Acquisition

Forms part of the Claims Conference International Holocaust Documentation Archive at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. This archive consists of documentation whose reproduction and/or acquisition was made possible with funding from the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany.

Source of acquisition is the Archiwum Państwowe w Warszawie Oddział w Grodzisku Mazowieckim, Poland, Sygn. 20. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives received the filmed collection via the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum International Archival Programs Division in 2015.

Scope and Content

Contains records relating to the proof of the Polish citizenship (some documents contain personal photographs), and correspondence of the County Starosty of Błonie with the Polish consulates in other countries (mainly France, England, USA); also included are police documents concerning surveillance of political parties and social organizations of 1928-1932.

Arranged in three series: 1. Records relating to the proof of Polish citizenship; 2. Police reports and statistics about political, social and underground organizations; 3. Association of Esperanto speakers for workers: "Work."
