Source of acquisition is the Statens arkiver (Denmark) [Danish National Archives].The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives received the filmed collection via the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum International Archival Programs Division in April 2018.
Scope and Content
Records relating to martial law in Denmark during the WWII, including: announcements, reports from police districts and local authorities, as well as records relating to arrests of hostages, including lists of arrested Danes and releases, and seizures of buildings and property.

Arranged in one series and three subseries: Series I. Martial law in Denmark. Subseries: 1. Announcements, reports, foreign press releases, 2. Detention of hostages: Arrest of Danish parliament members, professors, journalists, artists, actors, writers, layers, Icelandic citizens, foreigners, Rabbis, and others; 3. Various regulations relating to seizing of properties and collective punishment.
