Acquisition

Source of acquisition is the Slovenský národný archív (Slovak National Archives). The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives received the digitized collection via the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum International Archives Project in March 2018, and June 2019.

Scope and Content

Passports and passport applications with supporting documents of Jewish applicants from the Bratislava region, 1939 to 1945. Included are also files of Slovak perpetrators and war criminals. This is an ongoing project.

Arranged in two groups: 1. Passport files of Jews residing in the Bratislava region, 1939-1945. Organized in alphabetical order (Currently includes: Abeles to Arimoviczova; 2. Records related to Slovak perpetrators and war criminals.
