Forms part of the Claims Conference International Holocaust Documentation Archive at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. This archive consists of documentation whose reproduction and/or acquisition was made possible with funding from the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany.
From the Żydowski Instytut Historyczny im. Emanuela Ringelbluma (ŻIH), Sygn.333. Most of the materials of Syg. 333 referring to the Poalej Syjon-The Left Wing (the Left wing), Ha-Szomer Ha-Cair as well as the Ichud, were transferred in 1962 from ŻIH to the Archijon Awoda (Archives of Trade Union in Israel). This information is from correspondence files of Prof. Bernard Mark, the ŻIH director at that time. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives received the collection from ŻIH via the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum International Programs Division in Sep. 2012.
Scope and Content
Contains documentation of the Zionist parties and organizations that operated in Poland after the war. Includes organizational files, protocols of council meetings, correspondence, applications for emigration, personal files, materials for publication, bulletins, and files of regional branch offices of the following organizations: the Ichud, Ha-Noar Ha-Cijoni, WIZO-Women`s International Zionist Organization, Organization of General Zionists (Organization of General Zionists– Hitachdut Cijonim Klaliim) and Ha-Owed Ha-Cijoni, Jewish Zionist-Socialist Labor Party Poalej Syjon C.S. Hitachdut, Gordonia, Poalej Syjon – The Left Wing (the Left wing), United Jewish Labor Party Poalej Syjon (United Jewish Labor Party Poalej Syjon) and "Poalej Syjon – Ha-Szomer Ha-Cair" ("United Jewish Labor Party Poalej Syjon-Ha-Szomer Ha-Cair"), Jewish Labor Party Ha-Szomer Ha-Cair, He- Chaluc–Pionier, Dror and Borochow Jugent, Keren ha-Jesod, Keren Kajemet le-Israel, and the Jewish Makabi Sports Clubs.
