The Asociación Filantrópica Israelita (AFI) was founded in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1933 by German-Jewish immigrants with the aim to assist fellow Jewish refugees who had fled Nazi persecution and had emigrated to Argentina.

Source of acquisition is the Asociación Filantrópica Israelita (AFI), Argentina. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives received the collection from the AFI via the United States Holocaust Museum International Archives Project in August 2017.
