Physical Characteristics and Technical Requirements
The medal is zinc. The obverse features a bust of Emperor Karl with his name in Latin "CAROLVS" above and a wreath of laurels below. Between the bust and the laurels in smaller letters is the name "R. PLACHT." The reverse featured the words "LAESO MILITI" and the date in Roman numerals "MCMXVIII." The medal has a loop at the top and is attached to a red and gray striped trifold ribbon.
