Acquisition

Forms part of the Claims Conference International Holocaust Documentation Archive at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. This archive consists of documentation whose reproduction and/or acquisition was made possible with funding from the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany.

Source of acquisition is the Archiwum Państwowe w Kielcach, Poland, Sygn. 1809. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives received the digitized collection via the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum International Archival Programs Division in April 2017. This is a cooperative project based on the agreement between USHMM and Yad Vashem, Israel.

Scope and Content

Correspondence concerning schooling and out of school education, emigration and re-emigration of refugees, minutes of sessions of the Municipal Government and Municipal Council, budgets and reports, population books of permanent inhabitants of town of Włoszczowa, and the list of people murdered by the Germans in Włoszczowa and Krasocin, 1941-1942. The list includes 105 people.

System of Arrangement

Arranged in four series: 1. Files on education and emigration, 1920-1938; 2. Protocols and resolutions of the City Council, 1945-1946; 3. The population books of the town of Wloszczowa, 1925-1932. Organized alphabetically with personal data of citizens; 4. Annex of the book of population: List of people murdered (shot) by the Germans in Włoszczowa and Krasocin, 1941-1942.
