Acquisition

Forms part of the Claims Conference International Holocaust Documentation Archive at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. This archive consists of documentation whose reproduction and/or acquisition was made possible with funding from the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany.

Source of acquisition is the Archiwum Akt Nowych w Warszawie, Poland, Sygn.635. (The Central Archives of Modern Records). The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives received the filmed collection via the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum International Archival Programs Division in March 2017. This is a cooperative project based on the agreement between USHMM and Yad Vashem, Israel.

Scope and Content

Correspondence, passports, photographs, questionnaires, certifications related to the establishment of Polish citizenship, and issue extension of passports to Jews born in Poland but living in Germany.

Josef Kampler: Establishing Polish citizenship and issuing a passport, 1937-1939; 4. Jenta and Szlam Rogenfisz: Establishing Polish citizenship and issuing a passport, 1928-1934; 5. Bernhard Still: Establishing Polish citizenship and issuing a passport, 1938; 6. Isak and Mariem Altman: Issue and renewal of passports, 1932; 7. Abram-Hersz and Jenta Rozman passport case, 1925-1929; 8. Julius, Wirtheim: Passport extension, 1931-1937; 9. Israel Still: Passport extension and military service attestation, 1930-1932.
