Biographical History

Melania Weissenberg (b. October 27, 1930) was born in Krakow, Poland to Fajwel Weisenberg and Sara Kinstler Weisenberg. In June 1948, Molly immigrated to Canada with a group of child survivors.

Scope and Content

The collection includes a diary, in Polish, written by Melania Weissenberg from 1942-1944 while hiding in Dabrowa Tarnowska with an older Jewish girl. The collection also includes pre-war, wartime, and post-war photographs of Molly and her family and a letter written by Molly's cousin Bina, dated September 11, 1942.
