Acquisition
Forms part of the Claims Conference International Holocaust Documentation Archive at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. This archive consists of documentation whose reproduction and/or acquisition was made possible with funding from the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany.
Source of acquisition is the Slovenský národný archív (Slovak National Archives). The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives received the digitized collection via the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum International Archives Project in Oct. 2016.Transport cards were discovered in 2016 in the archival depot of the Slovak National Archives and were digitized by the USHMM on a priority basis.
Scope and Content
45,826 registration cards of deported Slovak Jews, 1942. Each card pertains to one deported person. Each card measures 10,5 x 7, 5 cm. The cards are arranged by last name in alphabetical order. Cards contain the following information: surname, first name, year of birth, place of birth, last domicile in Slovakia, date of deportation/transport, place from which the transport departed, number of the transport, and notes.

Arranged in one series: 1. Registration cards of Jews, 1942. Organized in alphabetical order. Cards are individually numbered.
