Biographical History
The Katz Ehrenthal Collection is a collection of more than 900 objects depicting Jews and antisemitic and anti-Jewish propaganda from the medieval to the modern era, in Europe, Russia, and the United States. The collection was amassed by Peter Ehrenthal, a Romanian Holocaust survivor, to document the pervasive history of anti-Jewish hatred in Western art, politics and popular culture. It includes crude folk art as well as pieces created by Europe's finest craftsmen, prints and periodical illustrations, posters, paintings, decorative art, and toys and everyday household items decorated with depictions of stereotypical Jewish figures.

Physical Characteristics and Technical Requirements
Woodcut in black ink on paper of a woman seated in right profile behind a table bearing a crown of thorns and looking up at small, winged man crowned by light rays and holding a cross in the clouds. Her right arm rests on the table, the hand raised in a gesture as her left hand loosely holds a scroll near her heart. Her full lips are set, her eyebrows are raised, and she wears a headscarf wrapped like a turban with a patterned cloak fastened at her neck. The shaded background is crosshatched. The central image is framed by thin geometric borders flanking a wide center band depicting a bountiful harvest and many small animals. Italian captions framed by scrollwork are centered at the top and bottom. There are handwritten markings on the back.
