Acquisition

Forms part of the Claims Conference International Holocaust Documentation Archive at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. This archive consists of documentation whose reproduction and/or acquisition was made possible with funding from the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany.

Source of acquisition is the Żydowski Instytut Historyczny im. Emanuela Ringelbluma. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives received the digitized collection via the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum International Archival Programs Division in Jan. 2016.

Scope and Content

Various documents of the Jewish community in Włocławek and its region: minutes of the Board meetings, lists of incomes and expenses, budgets, correspondence, inspection of the community in Włocławek, lists of community members, materials related to the election of the community leaders, applications of candidates for rabbis. Lists of payers to the community funds, birth, marriage and death certificates, register books, posters, announcements, etc.

Arranged in six series: 1. Minutes and correspondence; 2. Financial records; 3. Registers of community members (alphabetical); 4. Records of rabbi election: Applications of candidates for rabbis; 5. Records of the office of civil status; 6. Posters and announcments, etc.
