Acquisition

Forms part of the Claims Conference International Holocaust Documentation Archive at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. This archive consists of documentation whose reproduction and/or acquisition was made possible with funding from the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany.

Source of acquisition is the Archiwum Państwowe w Kielcach, Poland, Sygn.1187. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives received the digitized collection via the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum International Archival Programs Division in Jan. 2016. This is a cooperative project based on the agreement between USHMM and Yad Vashem, Israel.

Scope and Content

Police reports, surveillance books, an inspection of dactyloscopic cards, an album of criminals, a journal of a service inspection, reports by police officers and informers related to political, social and labor organizations, and records related to communist activities among the Jews.

Arranged in seven series: 1. Reports of the district police in Opoczno, 1933; 2. Materials related to the Polish Communist Party (KPP) Przysucha-Opoczno, 1933; 3. Police reports on the activities of the National Party, 1934-1936, 1938; 4. Surveillance records of the provincial police, 1932-1933; 5. Control of fingerprint cards; 1932-1938; 6. Photoalbum of criminals from the county Opoczno (album was established in April 25, 1932); 7. Police station in Odrzywół: Journal of control of police services, 1935.
