Acquisition

Forms part of the Claims Conference International Holocaust Documentation Archive at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. This archive consists of documentation whose reproduction and/or acquisition was made possible with funding from the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany.

Source of acquisition is the Archiwum Państwowe w Kielcach, Poland, Sygn.1158. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives received the digitized collection via the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum International Archival Programs Division in Jan. 2016. This is a cooperative project based on the agreement between USHMM and Yad Vashem, Israel.

Scope and Content

Court civil cases, records of individual litigation, e.g. correspondence, restoration of birth, marriages or death certificates; andinheritance cases.

System of Arrangement

Arranged in eight series: 1. Files of Chaya Blusztajn, the request for restoration of a birth certificate (File 53); 2. Files of Janina Milarskiej (née Kuriat) (File 61), an application for restoration of her daughter's birth certificate Bajli Warsaw (nee Kurlander); 3. Files of restoration of Janina Milarskiej marrige certification (File 62); 4. Request of restoration of birth certificate of Nusyn-David Borensztajn (File 68); 5. File of Jan Lisiewicz to declare the death of Israel-Chila Lisiewicz (File 94); 6. File of Apolonia Sowińska for a declaration of death of Jentli Klajnberg, Cerli Klajnberg, Fajgli Berkowicz (File 134 and 135); 7. Files of Jozef Kolodziejczyk to declare death of Nusym David Borensztajn, Jankla-Icek Borensztajn and Hendli Borensztajn, and Jankiel-Wolf Borensztajn (File 141. 142, 143); 8. File of John Lisiewicz), an application for a declaration of rights to inheritance after the Israel-Chilu Lisiewiczu (File 164).
