Acquisition

Forms part of the Claims Conference International Holocaust Documentation Archive at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. This archive consists of documentation whose reproduction or acquisition was made possible with funding from the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany.

Source of acquisition is the Archiwum Państwowe w Kielcach, Poland, Sygn. 528. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives received the digitized collection via the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum International Archival Programs Division in Jan. 2016. This is a cooperative project based on the agreement between USHMM and Yad Vashem, Israel.

Scope and Content

Correspondence and German ordinances, registers and statistics of the commune inhabitants, lists of Polish and German dead soldiers in the battle in Kazanów and Sierosławice (September 9, 1939); various German orders for forced labor and rules against Jews (e.g. marking Jewish people and their shops with the Star of David).
