The brooch was donated to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in 2015 by Sandra Levy, the daughter of Hugo Melchior.

Scope and Content

Brooch brought with Hugo Melchior when he left Vienna, Austria, with his brother Norbert for Great Britain. It was hand made by his father Isak, who along with Hugo's mother, Bertha, did not survive.
