Acquisition
Source of acquisition is the Yad Vashem, Record Group O15E. The material was gathered by the National Committee for Attending Deportees (Deportáltakat Gondozó Országos Bizottság - DEGOB) a special documentation department in Hungary set up by the Jewish Agency in conjunction with the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC or Joint). The unique collection of the DEGOB protocols are stored in the archives of the Hungarian Jewish Museum and Archives in Budapest (Magyar Zsidó Múzeum és Levéltár-MZSML). The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives received the collection from Yad Vashem via the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum’s International Archives Project in Dec 2007 and accretion in Dec. 2010.
Scope and Content
The collection contains approximately 5,000 statements recorded by a Deportáltakat Gondozó Országos Bizottság (DEGOB), a special documentation department set up by the Jewish Agency in conjunction with the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC or Joint) .

United States Holocaust Memorial Museum holds copies of Holocaust-relevant archives from Magyar Zsidó Múzeum és Levéltár
