Archival History

Yad ṿa-shem, rashut ha-zikaron la-Shoʼah ṿela-gevurah

Acquisition

Source of acquisition is the Yad Vashem, Record Group M.1.D. After the war, the Central Historical Commission of the Central Committee of Liberated Jews in the U.S. Zone, Munich, came into possession of a large part of the files from the Dachau concentration camp. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum's International Archives Project transferred microfilms to the Museum Archives in Dec. 2007.

Scope and Content

The collection contains the central card index of camp, payment cards, and correspondence of the camp administration.
