Scope and Content
Medallion with presentation case issued by the State of Israel in 1983 at the World Assembly to Commemorate Jewish Resistance and Combat During World War II. It features a man and a woman with a large Star of David, the symbol of the World Assembly, and a bible verse, Isaiah 30:15. It was designed by Assaf Berg and engraved by Tidhar Dagan.

Physical Characteristics and Technical Requirements
a. Heavy, circular, silver colored copper-nickel medal. The obverse is embossed with an abstract image of a faceless couple, a man with a rifle on the left and a woman to his right, facing the left. They wear banners across their chests and carry an oversize Star of David that covers their torsos. It has only 4 visible points and the woman’s head and upper body forms the upper point of the star. Below the star are Gregorian and Hebrew dates. Along the rim is Hebrew text repeated in English. The reverse is embossed on the center right with the emblem of the State of Israel, a shield with a menorah between 2 olive branches with Hebrew text below; to the left are 4 lines of Hebrew text. Near the upper edge is an emblem, a partial star with the number 35 and Hebrew letters. Around the rim is Hebrew text repeated in English. The edge has engraved text, the State emblem, and the serial number. b. Square, red solid plastic bifold case that opens and folds vertically. On the front is a central gold colored imprinted design of a stylized menorah within a circle; below is Hebrew and English text. The interior top section has a clear plastic open slot pocket.
