Acquisition
The photographs were created by Lawrence Wildermuth donor's nephew in 1945 in Buchenwald, were owned by Mr. Wildermuth until his death in 1982, and were held in possession by Mrs. Angelina Wildermuth [Mr. Wildermuth's widow] until her death in 1988. The photographs were found by Ferrar Renzulli in 1988, and were donated to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in 1989, by Ferrar Renzulli.
Scope and Content
Contains photographs depicting scenes of Buchenwald concentration camp at its liberation in 1945.
