Acquisition

Mr. Robert O' Connor, with the assistance of Mr. Curt Curtin, donated this collection, which belonged to the late Mr. Carroll O'Connor, who was a member of the United States Navy during World War II, to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum on Nov. 29, 2006.

Scope and Content

Consists of one pamphlet entitled "Good-bye Mr. Ghoya," published in Shanghai in September 1945. The pamphlet was a denunciation of Sgt. Kano Ghoya, the Japanese ex-vice chief of the Stateless Refugees' Affairs Bureau in Shanghai, and includes seven cartoons by F. Melchoir.
