United States Holocaust Memorial Museum

Acquisition

Jim Goepfert donated these photographs to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum on Oct. 31, 2005 with the help of his neighbor, Debra Weiner, and Jeanette Lerman Neubauer. Mr. Goepfert found these photographs while cleaning out a house.

Scope and Content

Consists of eight photographs taken after the liberation of the Buchenwald concentration camp. Includes photographs of piles of corpses, of a gallows, and of the Buchenwald memorial. Captions in English say "Dachau" but the photographs are of Buchenwald.
