Acquisition

Source of acquisition is the State Archive in Trieste (Archivio di Stato di Trieste), Italy. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum International Archives Project Division received the collection in August 2005. The collection was transferred to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives in September 2005.

Scope and Content

This collection contains various records concerning the legal discrimination against and expulsion of Jews from various professions in Trieste and the Adriatic coast during the war. It also contains postwar court records concerning the restitution of expropriated Jewish property.
