Mr. William Amoss donated this memoir, which he received from a friend, to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum on Jun. 29, 2005 via Museum volunteer Adam Kahane.

Scope and Content

Consists of a typed memoir, 130 pages, marked "Property of Dr. Wollenberg, Berlin," dated 1947. The memoir describes the experiences of Dr. Hans-Werner Wollenberg, a Jewish physician who worked as a doctor while imprisoned in several concentration camps, including Drancy, Johannsdorf, Brande, Blechhammer-Ehrenforst, Faulbrück, and Langenbielau. The memoir was later published as .".und der Alptraum wurde zum Alltag" in 1992.
