Acquisition

The photographs were found and purchased by Jan Quackenbush at an antique shop in Sarasota, Fla. Jan Quackenbush donated the photographs to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in 1995.

Scope and Content

The collection consists of two photographs of Maximilian Grabner, the director of the Gestapo at Auschwitz concentration camp, in the custody of armed guards.
