Acquisition
Forms part of the Claims Conference International Holocaust Documentation Archive at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. This archive consists of documentation whose reproduction and/or acquisition was made possible with funding from the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany.
Source of acquisition is the Żydowski Instytut Historyczny im. Emanuela Ringelbluma (ŻIH), Sygn. 303/V. In 1950, the Central Committee of Jews in Poland was liquidated and its archives transferred to the Żydowski Instytut Historyczny. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives received the filmed collection from the Żydowski Instytut Historyczny via the United States Holocaust Museum International Archives Project in Feb. 2005.
Scope and Content
Contains legal regulations of the repatriation process of Jews from the USSR and Germany. Also contains summaries, reports of the activity of the Department and correspondence with other departments of the Central Committee and various Jewish organizations financing the Repatriation Department. Several files contain the list of Jews repatriated from the USSR and the people who helped them.

The system of arrangement of the source repository has been preserved in the microfilmed reels. Arranged in five series: 1. Akta organizacyjne; 2. Akta personalne pracowników; 3. Akta personalne repatriantów; 4. Pomoc materialna dla repatriantów; 5. Akta dotyczące repatriacji z placówek terenowych. Files organized in the following order: Reel 1: File: 1-17; Reel 2: File 18-58; Reel 3: 59-73.
