Dr. Ladislaus Fessler gave the material to Henry Lazarus in the 1940s. Henry and Helen Lazarus donated the material to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in 1992 Written by Else Singer to Dr. Ladislaus Fessler, 1941, Vienna, Austria.

Scope and Content

The envelope was sent from Else Singer of Vienna, Austria, to Dr. Ladislaus Fessler of White Plains, N.Y. It bears several "Deutsches Reich" stamps, tape printed with "Geöffnet" and a Nazi emblem, and tape printed with "Opened By Examiner 4981."
