Maria Piatek Ryder donated the Maria Ryder papers to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in February 1993.
Scope and Content
The Maria Ryder papers consist of two letters from Maria Piatek (later Maria Ryder) in Ravensbrück concentration camp and one letter addressed to Maria Piatek on a pre-printed form entitled "Kriegsgefangengenpost" (prisoner of war mail). The letters were written while Maria Piatek, number 11287, was imprisoned in Ravensbrück concentration camp blocks 16 and 17. The letters also include censor stamps.
