Acquisition

Sam and Frances Goldenberg donated this collection to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum on Oct 14, 2004. Sam Goldenberg was a member of the 11th Armored Division and participated in the liberation of Mauthausen.

Scope and Content

Consists of six photographs taken upon the liberation of the Mauthausen concentration camp. Photographs depict groups of survivors receiving food and health care as well as congregating socially.
