The identification card was donated to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum by Mike Kurtzig in 1992 Issued to Henriette Kurtzig (donor's grandmother), April 1939, Berlin, Germany. Preserved by Arnold Kurtzig (donor's father) after Henriette Kurtzig's death, circa 1958.

Scope and Content

The Kennkarte was issued to Henrietta Sara Kurtzig (b. Henrietta Jetka Englander; donor's grandmother) from the chief of police in Berlin, Germany. A stamped "J" on front cover indicates that the holder was Jewish.
