Biographical History

Alex David (1910-1990) was born Gedalia Dawidowicz on 29 September 1910 in Sulmierzyce, Poland to Schmuel and Rosa (née Kopel, d. 1938) Dawidowicz. He had five siblings: Choskel, Golda, Baruch, Avrum, and Sara.

Acquisition

The collection was donated to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum by Lynn Hammer in 1992.

Scope and Content

The collection consists of an identification photograph of Gedalia Dawidowicz (Alex David) and three other photographs of Dawidowicz and unidentified family members. Captions in Polish and Hebrew on the verso.
