Forms part of the Claims Conference International Holocaust Documentation Archive at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. This archive consists of documentation whose reproduction and/or acquisition was made possible with funding from the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany.
From the T︠S︡entralen dŭrzhaven arkhiv (Central State Archives), Bulgaria, Fond 453, Opis 2. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives received the filmed collection via the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum International Archives Project in July 2002.
Scope and Content
Contains census of 1934 and other statistical data related to the occupation, social situation, age, nationality, religion, language and literacy of Bulgarians. Includes a special census by population for new territories.
System of Arrangement
Organized into the following order: Reel 1: File 31, 38, 46, 87, 2143-2149; Reel 2: 2150-2160, 2187-2193; Reel 3: 2194-2217. Arrangement is thematic. Materials filmed partially.
