INDIA)", three "India Postage" stamps adhered in upper right corner, blue stamp with white print "BY AIR MAIL/PAR AVION" adhered in bottom center; text reads: "8.2.47 My dearest Herbert and Nelly, I wanted to tell you today only, that I became a British subject 3 days ago by getting my certificate of naturalization after the oath at the Hight Court, and you can imagine how happy I feel to have again a citizenship and this time of a well-respected country! I only would have wished my beloved Curt to experience this day and this feeling, who would have deserved it a million more than I do on account of his stay at Buchenwald.- I have to thank you furthermore for the lovely calendar you sent to Andrew, which is the delight of all three of us, since it outstanding in its selection of natural beauties - and Andrew is very much interested in nature, thanks to Granny, and knows butterflies in each and every phase of their life. Also the beautiful pictures of the Swiss landscape enjoy his heart, in spite of the fact, that he does not know snow and always takes it on the photos as sand, since I only managed up to now to show him a specimen from the frigidaire, when it is being cleaned on weekends! Thus I made once a tiny snow-ball even, to give him an idea.- I do hope all of you are well and remain with my sincerest regards and love from all the 3 of us. Yours as ever Marianne"
