Biographical History

Wiktor Poznanski was born in Piotrków Trybunalski, Poland on November 1, 1912. He graduated from the Uniwersytet Warszawski Wydział Prawa in 1935. Wiktor was imprisoned in Mauthausen concentration camp during the Holocaust.

Acquisition

The papers were donated to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum by Helena Poznanska in 2003.

The papers consist of Wiktor Poznanski's provisional identification card from Mauthausen, a copy of his diploma from Uniwersytet Warszawski, his certificate of incarceration from the International Red Cross, and other documents relating to the experiences of Wiktor Poznanski before, during, and after the Holocaust.
