Scope and Content
The medal was awarded to Nahman-Leib Neumann Itzicovici donor's paternal grandfather for his service in the Romanian Army during World War I.

Physical Characteristics and Technical Requirements
The medal has a circular body of nickel or pewter. On the recto is a relief image of an eagle with expanded wings and its claws holding swords and a bust of a man surrounded by "IN AMINTIREA INALTATORULUI AVANT 1915." On the verso is a relief image of a woman holding a palm branch and a wreath floating above marching soldiers. Attached at the upper center of the body is a metal floral ring with a blue and gold ribbon.
