The hand towel was donated to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in 2002 by Paul Kuttner, the son of Margarete Kuttner.

Scope and Content
Paul Kuttner received the towel from his mother, Margarete Kuttner, before his immigration from Berlin, Germany, to Great Britain through Kindertransport in February 1939.

The hand towel is made from light tan fabric with red stripes near edge and embroidered with the initials, "M.K./13."
