Acquisition

Source of acquisition is the Bundesarchiv, Germany, Record Group ZR. Those documents were part of the East German archival system, then they were transferred to the Bundesarchiv. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum's International Archives Project acquired the microfilm from the Bundesarchiv in Berlin, Germany, in 2002. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives received the microfilm in May 2002.

Scope and Content

Records compiled by former East German state security service (Stasi). Contains records relating to Nazi atrocities, mostly files with material used in the war crimes investigation.
