Acquisition
The original records were created by agencies of the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia -specifically, the Ministries of Interior and Justice, The Office of the Reichsprotector, The National Office of Police and Security Affairs, The National Gendarmerie Command, The Commandant General of the Gendarmerie, The Commandant General of the Plainclothes Police of the Protectorate, and The German State Ministry of Interior. The original documents are located in the the Národní archiv v Praze (National Archives in Prague), and at its provincial offices in Trebon and Brno, Czech Republic. Copies of originals were made at each location, and forwarded to the Czech Ministry of Interior, which sent them to the Embassy of the Czech and Slovak Federal Republic in Washington, D.C. The embassy, in turn, made them available to Sybil Milton of USHMC, who turned them over to USHMMA.
